Nobody said you must go to West Africa. The point is, many African Americans even if they HAD the money would rather use the money to go to France or some other place in EUROPE. These are the same ones that want convenient African Identity without ever having to make any effort about it. 

You don’t have to go anywhere. Why not start with LANGUAGE? How many African Americans make a serious effort to learn a West African language?

And please stop fucking learning Swahili for goodness’ sake. Swahili has about as much to do with African Americans as Polar Bears have to do with Chinese Calligraphy.
